The Ausbildung program a dual vocational and on-the-job training system in Germany, will be introduced in Korea in the form of an automobile maintenance course called ‘Auto-Mechatroniker.’ Participating students are to officially sign a labor contract with the dealerships of the two German automakers, which entails the provision of a stable salary, a high quality working environment and a training course that has been developed through the cooperation of field instructors who have completed a German trainer workshop and technical college professors. The three-year program consists of 30% of theoretical education at vocational schools and 70% of practical training at company sites. Students who complete the Ausbildung program will obtain Associate degrees by partner colleges and certification by partner companies. As the KGCCI obtained accreditation of the program to be valid in Germany, students may make use of the experience in domestic and overseas employment opportunities.
